Today PharmEng Technology is delighted to announce the opening of our new regional office in Spain located on Avenida de Tenerife 18-3, segunda planta, local 02. CP 28703 San Sebastián de los Reyes. Madrid! Until this expansion on September 14th, the operations of PE Spain were solely based out of our established Barcelona office location. Thanks to the drive and engagement of PE Spain’s leader – Luiz Grasso, many new opportunities for growth and expansion are available for PharmEng in Europe.

Mr. Luiz Grasso has over 17 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, chemical, and vegan medicine industries, with just over 4 years of his career at PharmEng. He is a Medical Device lead auditor specialized in Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP), EU Regulations, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001. With a broad range of experience in areas such as Quality Control, Pharmacopeia Compliance, Process Manufacturing, Testing Methods, Technology Transfer, Validation, and more – Luiz is a seasoned specialist in presential and remote consulting needs.

Since Luiz brought PharmEng to Spain in early 2019, efforts have grown rapidly, and he has united professionals to create a superb PharmEng team. Luiz’s team serves our greatest regional client, Laboratorios Farmaceuticos ROVI SA, and has grown our regional business and overall scope of work up to 30% larger in 2021.

ROVI is a contract manufacturing organization that creates injectable and solid form medication in Spain for distribution and use all across Europe.

Throughout 2020 and 2021, PharmEng has been providing the finest consulting services to ROVI and supported the manufacturing of Covid-19 vaccines as the demand increased through the global pandemic.

This year, the PharmEng team in Europe has gathered many amazing individuals dedicated to Quality Assurance, Validation, Inspection and Audits for Spain operations. In the end of September 2021, a team of 5 PharmEng staff were brought together from different corners of the Earth to move into another office space within a client facility. Drawing from PharmEng’s vast pool of global talent guarantees the best resources in place – 2 team members from Spain, 1 from Canada, and 2 from Malaysia. Several daily client meetings for life-saving projects prove no issue for this team.

To keep up with growing demand within Europe, PharmEng has also recognized two consultants for their outstanding work with promotions to Managing Consultants as of October 1st. Caridad Pita Peréz and Ismael Ruiz González are two natural leaders, now set to direct site operations in Spain, ensuring streamlined communication and even more efficient service for clients.

Caridad is coming up on one year with PharmEng Technology. She has a master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine. Ismael is Spain’s other new managing consultant. He holds a master’s degree in Food Safety and Quality Audits and another in Agri-Food. Both are experts in managing quality control in products and processes and have been valuable team members for success on site!
